America has faced many challenges in the past but none as dire as the one faced today in the soon to be aftermath of the worst President in our history.
I believe we are literally only one generation away from falling into the pit of irrelevance and impotence which would have been unthinkable to our founders, especially a patriot like Thomas Paine who wrote the following exhortation to the American colonies in his treatise, Common Sense.
Can we but leave posterity with a settled form of government, an independant constitution of it’s own, the purchase at any price will be cheap. But to expend millions for the sake of getting a few vile acts repealed, and routing the present ministry only, is unworthy the charge, and is using posterity with the utmost cruelty; because it is leaving them the great work to do, and a debt upon their backs, from which, they derive no advantage.
Mr. Paine’s point is clear; for his generation to settle for less than ethical and moral freedom because it was expedient for the moment would have been cowardly and derelict. It was then and is now.
Men Or Mice?
Fast forward two hundred plus years and once again our freedom is at stake. Therefore let it be known that subtlety for the sake of appeasement is no longer an option. Obama, Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Party and liberal media have thrown down the gauntlet with their extreme anti-American rhetoric, policies and edicts.
The only question remains is this: Will this generation capitulate to the liberal horde or stand up for freedom and faith at any cost? Are we so pacified by entertainment and sports that life without freedom is acceptable? Not in my house!
Future Starts With Parents
I am raising two young men and a young women to be strong in their faith and academics for the sole purpose of espousing their faith, morality and ethics in the public square regardless of the consequences.
Parents, It is our responsibility to instill in our children the importance of faith, education and courage if we are going to preserve the greatness of the United States of America for future generations.
My hope and prayer is that in fifteen years my children and yours equipped with an impenetrable faith in our Saviour, Jesus Christ, will line the halls of public service, secondary education and private sector with the boldness and grace of our founding generation.
