Few symbols have pierced the national consciousness like the Barack Obama Hope Poster created by Shepard Fairey for the 2008 presidential campaign.
It was this poster that elevated Obama from a mere community organizer slash Junior Senator from Illinois to this mythical character, whom if elected, would transcend color, race and creed to unite the entire world under a banner of hope and peace through his charisma and eloquence.
To underscore this point The New Yorker art critic Peter Schjeldahl called the poster “the most efficacious American political illustration since ‘Uncle Sam Wants You’.”
Moreover, in 2009 Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize by the Norwegian Nobel Committee without any significant policy achievements under his belt though the committee later admitted to regretting their decision.
The Great Divider
Unfortunately, Obama has never lived up to the hype and promise of his campaign though it must be said that very few men in history could have.
What’s worse is that instead of being a unifier Obama has been a divider; especially along racial lines.
It is Obama who has repeatedly stuck his nose into the national spotlight to comment on law enforcement and other race related matters especially between white police officers and black perpetrators. Sadly, he is silent when the tables are turned.
It goes without saying that Obama overstepped his boundaries in both Ferguson and the Trayvon Martin case by sicking his personal pitbull, former Attorney General Eric Holder, upon these cities to take a bite out of the white establishment.
And though we didn’t know it at the time, Obama and his race baiting hooligans; such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, with their racially vitrol rhetoric poked the bear, sparking nationwide violent demonstrations and calls within the black community to injure white police officers.
And now here we are…a black male sniper mowing down white police officers in cold blood during a Dallas protest. This is absolutely unacceptable!
Though one cannot directly blame Obama and his cronies for the violence in Dallas, it is fair to say that Obama’s policies and actions have fueled the violence, undoing over fifty years of racial progress.
Today there is NO hope that tensions between whites and blacks will end any time soon and though I didn’t vote for Obama, it still saddens me that someone who instilled so much hope in millions has in calculated fashion turned this country against itself.
Blah Blah Blah
And now once again Obama is blaming the inanimate object in the perpetrators hands, guns, instead of the criminals using them.
You must understand that those in power, namely the Democratic Party, want to stay in power.
That means their leaders are willing to manufacture a false narrative of whites against blacks to accomplish their goal.
They say they will save black America from the bad white people on Wall Street and bad white people in Police uniforms.
However, the simple truth is that blacks have every opportunity to succeed today as whites and there is no white conspiracy to keep blacks from accomplishing their hopes and dreams.
In fact, Martin Luther King Jr. would be proud of today’s America where the overwhelming majority of men and women judge others by the content of their character not the color of their skin.
