Did you wake up September 21st, 2016 like it was just another day; another day of going to work, dropping off the kids at school, paying some bills and binge watching Friends Season 2 on Netflix?
If you did then you either didn’t hear what our wonderful (keyboard dripping with sarcasm) President said the day prior during his address to the United Nations General Assembly or you simply don’t care.
I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and provide the experpt from his speech below.
Oh and by the way, these comments should terrify you!
And we can only realize the promise of this institution’s founding — to replace the ravages of war with cooperation — if powerful nations like my own accept constraints. Sometimes I’m criticized in my own country for professing a belief in international norms and multilateral institutions. But I am convinced that in the long run, giving up some freedom of action — not giving up our ability to protect ourselves or pursue our core interests, but binding ourselves to international rules over the long term — enhances our security. And I think that’s not just true for us.
I’ll keep it simple. Our twice elected President of the United States of America, who is our Commander In Chief and Chief Executive, who is supposed to promote and defend the interests of America, just suggested that the very same United States of America as a matter of official policy should accept constraints*, give up* freedom and bind* ourselves to the United Nations!
I don’t have to tell you that the United Nations is no longer what it once was and has become a bloated, self-absorbed bureaucracy that actually poses a threat to world peace instead of promoting it.
All I can say is that Obama is out of his mind and his comments are therefore absolutely one hundred percent ludicrous, and have no place coming from the mouth of a sitting POTUS. Further they are in direct opposition to the Presidential Oath of Office which he pledged on two separate occasions.
Read the preamble to our Constitution below and notice what stands out.
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Our Constitution is just that – ours. It’s for us and no one else. It guarantees the rights of our citizens. And just as our Constitution doesn’t grant rights to foreign citizens neither do foreign countries guarantee rights to our citizens.
We are a sovereign nation that answers to no other nation or international body – period!
September 20th, 2016 Barack Obama represented the world, not America or our Constitution, proving that you can take the boy out of Kenya but you can’t take Kenya out of the boy.

- Constrain – Control that limits or restricts someone’s actions or behavior
- Give Up – To yield control or possession of
- Bind – To tie the hands or feet of a person to prevent escape or movement
