New Hampshire is not representative of the U.S. Electorate – thank goodness!
Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump are the winners of the New Hampshire primary. Their post primary speeches couldn’t have been more different. Sanders promised to throw America to the wolves by raising minimum wage to $15.00 an hour, providing free post-secondary education and expanding Obama Care while paying for his ambitious spending by taxing Wall Street speculation.
Sanders socialist policies are anti-American. If you are voting for Sanders you are anti-American and ignorant of what has made our country great. Read our country’s history, read it again and then contrast Sanders’ policies with our founders. They have nothing in common.
Trump, on the other hand, promised to make America great again in his typical flamboyant style perpetuating the greatest sales pitch this country has even heard. At one point he restated his favorite line saying, “You will be so happy when I’m president.”
Unfortunately, as much as I agree with what Trump says I cannot trust his sincerity. Trump’s salesmanship is the reason I don’t buy cars from dealerships and I don’t vote for politicians who live in Trump Tower. Don’t buy Trumps lofty promises.
There is a better candidate still in the hunt. Please take the time to learn the issues, scrutinize the candidates and make an objective decision based on the historical foundations that made our country great, not the whimsical baseless promises of Sanders and Trump.
The Real Winner
The real winner tonight is Ted Cruz who finished third place. In doing so Cruz finished in front of Bush and Rubio. Cruz is a right of center conservative who isn’t supposed to do well in a state like New Hampshire. A third place finish proves that he can excite the electorate in liberal establishment states. If Cruz can continue gaining independents and stabilizing the conservative vote he will be tough to beat as the primaries continue.
Best of The Rest
- Hillary Clinton is on the slide. She lost in a state where she and her husband are wildly popular and she won the 2008 Primary. I did not see this coming.
- Chris Christie and Ben Carson will probably bow out after their poor showings which will allow the country to focus on the top candidates.
South Carolina is up next!
